Computer simulations by the National Center for Atmospheric Research show oil traveling up to 100 miles per day toward Atlantic beaches in ocean currents. That means that we could be seeing oil on beaches from Miami to Cape Cod sometime this summer.
Said NCAR scientist Synte Peacock, "our best knowledge says the scope of this environmental disaster is likely to reach far beyond Florida, with impacts that have yet to be understood."
