TED Tackles the Oil Spill

TED, the non-profit known for "riveting talks by remarkable people," is hosting an event in Washington DC on June 28th focused on the gulf oil spill disaster. Sure to be a compelling and fascinating event, the TEDxOilSpill will "tackle the tough questions raised by the recent and ongoing environmental catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico. Topics will include mitigation of the spill and the impending cleanup efforts; energy alternatives; policy and economics; as well as new technology that can help us build a self-reliant culture." TEDxOilSpill has lined up incredible speakers including Sylvia Earle, the renowned oceanographer, and Philippe Cousteau, grandson of the legendary Jacques Cousteau. I highly recommend attending or watching the live video stream.
